COMMENTS: Detailed instructions tell how to proceed with the first layer of the
hull, then in (Step-29) how to proceed with the second layer.
This model is a "doubled hulled" ship. The modeler will want to sand
the first layer some so the second layer will lie down smoothly
to give good lines. Also, each mast and yard arm must be sanded to
the correct shape. Detailed written and photo manuals, with number
cross-references for each manual. All deck accessories must be built,
painted or stained for added realism. Taking the time to do the
detail work will give, a truly realistic boat model and very
rewarding building experience.
Some additional tools that might be helpful to the modeler;
Spring tension pliers
