Based on the Volkswagen Beetle, the Beutler company, based in Thun in the Swiss canton of Berne, produced conversions of the highest quality and craftsmanship in the 1950’s. On the basis of the Beetle, Beutler developed, among others, estate car, van and pickup truck versions as an alternative to the slightly larger VW Bulli.
